As the history of the internet and the world wide web continues to be
written, developers on all fronts are charge with the task of the shaping of
things to come. Google has emerged as the leader in the online market place with
sites like yahoo, msn, and myspace stuck in a fierce battle over the scraps.
Google has recently tapped into the online video marketplace with the release of
google video beta and soon followed youtube by offering up
Myspace html code. Alexa traffic rankings show that about 2% of
google's traffic ends up at video.google.com. Google announced that it
will allow mobile users to access its
video content and rss
feeds in January 2006.
To get involved with the emerging trend, I decided to develop a platform to
convert the Google Video RSS feeds into html content. Check out
grabbagvideo.com for more details.
